Encouraged by a review of their demo tape in the Melody Maker the band recorded a single, Good Technology, and released it on their own Self Drive label. John Peel played it on the radio, Tyne Tees Television filmed them for the Tube and Johnny Marr invited them to tour with the Smiths. They were up and running. ... more

Absolutely LOVE this album. It's SO great to hear these legends energized and busting out killer track after killer track. Three albums in less than a year is a herculean feat, and that each one is brilliant, building on the energy of the one before, well... it's all worth shouting about. Dig this so much, I bought all 3 and donated them to my radio station, KDUR, so we all get to hear them over the air in Colorado. Chuffed to get to play them for others.
