lyrics

I met a girl in Paris, France,
An Irish girl I met by chance.
She said come to Paris, France,
And we can do the Paris dance.

You put your hand out in the night - Paris, France
You take a seat on the midnight flight.
You take the third door on the right - Paris, France
walls are blue the ceiling's white.

Don't worry 'bout the autonome - Paris, France
No one here is anyone.
I was young but that's all gone - Paris, France
I never think of what I've done.

Susy that's an Irish name
Susy that's a Paris game
All I want is love and fame
Susie do you want the same?

You put your hand out in the night,
You take a seat on the midnight flight
You take the third door on the right
Walls are blue the ceiling's white.

I met a girl - Paris, France
An Irish girl
She said come to Paris, France,
And we can do the, do the Paris dance.

Paris, France, do the Paris France dance
Paris, France, chassé down the Champs Elysee
Paris, France, do the Paris, France oo-la-la
Paris, France.

Do the France dance like a railway train
Do the France dance in the pouring rain
White lights flashing in the Paris night
I dance the Left bank and you dance the right
Spin like a dervish and you'll feel no pain
Watch your step or you'll dance in Seine
And you go ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-aah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-aah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-aah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-aah
Do the France dance in the pouring rain
Do the France dance like a railway train
Do the France dance in the Paris rain
Do the France dance or you'll go insane...

about

Red Guitars Hull, UK

Red Guitars were a product of the vibrant Hull music scene of the late 1970s. Encouraged by a review of their demo tape in the Melody Maker the band recorded a single, Good Technology, and released it on their own Self Drive label. John Peel played it on the radio, Tyne Tees Television filmed them for the Tube and Johnny Marr invited them to tour with the Smiths. They were up and running. ... more
